U12's Barca Promoted

U12's Barca are Promoted

Even more success for our U12's age group but this time from our U12's Barca team who have won promotion from Garforth League Division 5.

Finishing the season in 2nd place, having won 11, drawing 2 with only 3 losses from the 16-game season, we are delighted the hard work paid off for our manager Dave Greenwood and all players involved in this success.

To say this is the first season our U12's have been involved in competitive football, it shows how well the club, managers, players, and parents have done in their development.

Welfare Review

A Glowing Review we are all very Proud of

West Riding County FA's Designated Safeguarding Officer, Paul Ratcliffe attended one of our U8's training session as part of their Desktop Review & Safeguarding visit to help us support everyone at the club in all elements to Safeguarding.

All clubs are routinely visited to ensure the correct processes are in place and to provide advice and support in maintaining a high standard of Safeguarding

We were very proud to have had the Desktop Review and Safeguarding visit as complete and the great feedback that was provide by Paul about our Club.

Huge thanks to those involved in making this run as smoothly as it did, especially Caroline Slape (Welfare Office & Secretary), Paul Ratcliffe and the other committee members for their tireless, continuous effort.

Celebrity Ref

Premier League Referee Jon Moss takes charge

On the 24th April our U13's team finished the season off with a 3-3 draw away to Yorkshire Amateurs. Having loomed in the relegation places over Christmas, Manager Ryan Horsman, coach Stu McInall and their players regrouped and turned things around.

After the loss to League winners Chapeltown Juniors Oranges on the 9th January, our U13's went on a 6 game unbeaten run, winning 3 and drawing 3, finishing 5th and comfortably out of relegation. It's easier to win when you've been winning, so to turn this around and find this form is a huge achievement to you all.

To finish the season off on a high was great and to add to this, their game against Yorkshire Amateurs was refereed by the very well-known Premier Leagues Jon Moss.

In between being forth official of Man City's 5-1 win against Watford and then Liverpool's 2-0 win against Everton, he took the time out to take charge of this U13's game. What a guy!

County Cup Winners

U12's Madrid - County Cup Winners

What a year this has been for our U12's Madrid Manager Chris Kilvington, his support staff and all his players. They've now gone and added to their Leeds & District Cup win, by bringing home the County Cup as well.

Up against a very strong Ryburn United Juniors team, who have won 11 out of 11 in the Huddersfield Junior Macron League scoring a massive 55 goals. It had the making to be a very stern test for our players.

Showing everyone what a special team we have at our club, Leeds Juniors U12's Madrid ran out 5-0 winners. An unbelievabke acheivement considering the standard of the team that they were up against.

We are so proud of everyone involved in making this possible. Thanks to Chris Kilvington for speaking to the younger age groups back at our club base, showing them what hard work can bring you. Check out these goals here

Race Night Success

Race Night Success

Leeds Juniors are delighted to announce the huge success of our first ever race night. It was held at our Club base the Pudsey Liberal Club with over 100 tickets being sold. With £400 being given out in prizes for our Horse and Jockey winners, Leeds Juniors are delighted to announce we raised a massive £1064.38

Being able to raise this amount of money throughout the year enables us to reinvest back into the club to help it grow and ensure everyone who is involved new and old gets to enjoy the many experiences that our football has to offer to both players and parents.

A special thanks to our Fundraising officer Kelly Sims and her hugely supportive team for their hard work to make the event the success it was. Thanks to the businesses within our Community who very generously sponsored the 8 races (details below) and lastly for Paul Campbell for his fantastic performance as Master of Events. Without you it wouldn't be possible.

Many thanks to our Sponsors:- Next Generation Football, Pudsey Liberal Club, CMH Plastering, 24/7 Waste, Enterprise Transport Training, CF Electrical, First4Fencing and Helliwell Plumbing & Heating Ltd..

U12's Madrid - Leeds & District Cup Winners

As we approach the business end of the season, we start to see the results of the hard work the coaches and players have put in throughout the year. Leeds Juniors U12's Madrid played their first of potentially 4 cup finals they could be involved in this year.

Up against Guiseley Juniors playing at Whitkirk Sports Club with a chance to take home the Leeds & Distract cup, we are very proud to report that we came out clear winners with an impressive 3-0 win.

We'd like to personally thank Chris Kilvington, his players and everyone else that has given up their time to become the success they now are. Well done to all of you, we couldn't be any prouder.

New Appointment

Introducing our New Club Secretary....

After being involved with the club since it started, Owen Wood has decided to hang up his boots and have a well-earned rest! Owen has played an instrumental role in the club over the years, and we all want to say a huge thank you for everything you have done in getting Leeds Juniors to where it is today.

Caroline Slape has taken over as Club Secretary and here is a little bit about her role.

The role of Club Secretary is an integral part of all grassroots football clubs. I bring to this role many varied skills that I possess as well as the commitment of time. I, along with the other committee members and managers have a big passion to make the club bigger and better than ever and to become the club of choice across our local community.

In the secretary role I am the official contact between the club and the county FA. I also work closely with the Club Chairman to ensure the smooth running of the club. Club secretary is a huge part of running a football club and some of the roles and responsibilities are registering players, attending meetings with the different football leagues we are involved with, holding our own club committee meetings once a month and ensuring that the children have somewhere to train and play matches each year.

I am really enjoying the role so far; I look forward to building Leeds Juniors together with you all. I hope to see many of you soon and please do not hesitate to contact me if you need anything regarding Leeds Juniors, I'm happy to help.

Christmas Raffle

It's the Most Beautiful Time of a Year

The Christmas Raffle was a huge success, thank you so much to everyone who helped to make this happen, donated prizes and bought tickets, we raised a huge £4238.00 and your ongoing support is appreciated.

The money we raise makes a huge difference to everyone involved at the club. With these types of funds we are able to secure two pairs of roll on goalposts, including nets for our pitches at Crawshaw. This has instantly provided us with many more years of football still left to come from Leeds juniors.

This joint venture has also increased our already good reputation we have with the school, providing both parties with a more convenient way to play football.

Let's not forget the biggest win, us coaches and parents no longer have to scratch our heads trying to work out which piece goes where with the large Lego type goalpost we used to suffer with. As I say, everyone’s a winner..."
